25 NOVEMBER to 8 DECEMBER 2023: Aitutaki is a spectacularly beautiful island in the South Pacific country of Cook Islands. And Aitutaki was where Farmer Rob, plus a couple of dairy farmers from New Zealand and some amazing paddlers from Hawaii, paddled a six-seater outrigger canoe to victory, winning the Masters Men 10km Iron Race. And the very next day, Rob joined a team of randomly-selected men and women paddlers from Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia to finish second in the Motu2Motu 35km changes race. (For those who don't know what a changes race involves, take a look at this short video of a deep water crew swapping out paddlers midway through a race.)
Below are some photographs from Farmer Rob's Motu2Motu adventure (and belated 60th birthday celebration) in the South Pacific.
Well done, Farmer Rob and your Iron Race and Motu2Motu Changes Race crews!
