Sunflowers have popped up, against the odds, in a paddock scorched by bushfires in January.

While they may not be the tallest or brightest or prettiest Heliantheae ever to rise out of Narrawilly's soils, to us they're extra special.

Here, for no better reason than the pleasure of having sunflowers re-appearing on the farm, are some photographs of our golden-faced survivors.
